Height Classes

A: up to and including 155 cm (approx. 5' 1")
B: up to and including 159 cm (approx. 5' 2-1/2")
C: up to and including 163 cm (approx. 5' 4")
D: up to and including 166 cm (approx. 5' 5-1/2")
E: up to and including 170 cm (approx. 5' 7")
F: over 170 cm (approx. 5’ 7”)

Open classes are open to female athletes 16 years of age or older. Athletes under the age of 18 must complete a parental consent form.

JUNIOR CLASS
Competitors must be between 16 – 23 years of age within the year they compete. Athletes under the age of 18 must complete a parental consent form.

There is only one class for all Bikini Junior.

MASTERS CLASS
Masters 35 – 44 years of age
A: Up to and including 163 cm (approx. 5' 4")
B: Over 163 cm (approx. 5’ 4”)

Masters – 45 years of age and over
This class will be one height class only.

Masters competitors must be within the age parameters in the calendar year in which they compete.

All classes must have a minimum of 6 competitors. The head judge reserves the right to merge classes at their discretion.

Competition ROUNDS

Presentation (model walk) – competitors walk to centre stage individually and stop to perform 2 – 3 poses then move to line-up on side stage.

COMPARISON ROUNDS
The Head Judge will then call up the line in groups of approximately five (5) competitors and proceed to request the group do quarter turns specified as follows:
  1. Front stance: competitors will stand with one hand resting on the hip and one leg slightly moved to the side.
  2. Quarter turn right: competitors will perform the first quarter turn to the right. They will stand left side to the judges, with upper body slightly turned toward the judges and face looking at the judges. Right hand resting on the right hip, left arm hold down and slightly back from the centerline of the body, feet placed freely but not together.
  3. Quarter turn back: competitors will perform the next quarter turn to the right and will stand back to the judges. They will stand straight, not leaning the upper body forward with one hand resting on the hip and one leg slightly moved to the side. Second hand hanging down along the body, slightly out of to the side, with open palm and straight, aesthetically configured fingers. Competitors are not allowed to turn their upper body towards the judges and should face the back of the stage at all time during the comparison.
  4. Quarter turn right: competitors will do the next quarter turn to the right and will stand their right side to the judges, with upper body slightly turned toward the judges and face looking at the judges. Left hand resting on the left hip, right arm hold down and slightly back from the centerline of the body, feet placed freely but not together.
  5. Quarter turn front: competitors will do the last quarter turn to the right and will perform front stance.
JUDGING CRITERIA

Bikini Fitness athletes are expected to be lean, healthy, fit, toned, symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing. They should have an attractive athletic, fit physique shape and the "total package" from top of the head down will be judged in this format.

Judges will be scoring competitors on the following items:
  • Balance and Shape
  • Overall physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise and overall presentation.
  • Competition tan is allowed and recommended.
  • Numbers must be worn on the left hip.

SUIT SELECTION
The attire for the Bikini Fitness competition will be a two-piece swimsuit with color, material, and texture at the discretion of the competitor.
  • Bikini tops must cover a minimum of 50% of the breasts and bottoms must cover a minimum of 1/3 of the glutes
  • The bottom of the suit must be v-shaped. (No thongs or booty shorts permitted.)
  • Competitors can compete in an off the rack suit. All swimsuits must be in good taste.
  • Jewelry may be worn.
  • The Head Judge, or a delegated representative, will have the right to determine if a competitor's attire meets an acceptable standard of taste and decency.
SHOES
  • Heels must be worn
  • Shoe sole thickness should be a maximum of 1 cm and stiletto should be a maximum of 12cm.
  • The color and style of the high-heels shall be left to the competitor's discretion
